Aradhna – May 25,2009
Rathore is been given an enhanced prison term of 18 months.

This is the first time in over 19 years that Rathore has been formally arrested in the Ruchika molestation case. Ruchika always wanted to expose the dirty side of Rathore and always wanted to see Rathore behind the bars. Today, Ruchika is not here between us but am sure her soul now will rest in peace. It’s a common man’s victory.Together we can move mountains and even an influential person like Rathore CAN be punished. As my dad says always, no one is above the law. The untiring efforts of Pankaj Bhardwaj ji and C.S Sharma ji (lawyers) is much appreciated in this battle against injustice. But it’s not over yet, our fight to get him punished under section-306 for abetment to suicide (of Ruchika) will continue…

……….We are not Done yet.

A 14 year old girl got molested by a man who was old enough to be her father. I happened to be the witness of that shocking incident that went on affecting many lives. I am also a friend of that unfortunate girl, Ruchika, and was with her through her sufferings and miserable life until it came to an end.

Ruchika was a brave girl and did not accept what had happened to her, and wanted justice. All legal processes were followed to file complaints and raise a voice against the crime and the criminal. The predator being in a powerful position that he was, abused his power to manipulate the case, and did all kind of unthinkable things to Ruchika and her family,……. finally driving a 18 year old girl to take up her own life.

At 18 years of age, when we all are ready to go meet LIFE, ….Ruchika was giving it up. It must have been a very difficult decision for her to make. The condition of her life must have been unbearable and worst than the other option she had at hand. (her death)

The state governments, the central governments, the investigating agencies, the courts, and all the leaders who we elected as protectors of our civil rights and liberty took their sweet time to deal with this case. And finally after 450 hearings, and perhaps after running out of all possible reasons for anymore delays, they came up with the verdict…… Six months imprisonment, and a financial punishment of one thousand rupees!

The convict walks out of the court with a big smile on his face, mocking and raping the legal system and everybody affected once again!

This is not acceptable to me……….We are not Done yet.
